PLWA’s Annual Meeting Was Thursday August 18th at 6:30 PM MST ONLINE
This year PLWA’s Annual Meeting was held online to allow for members from across the state and country to attend. The recording is available below. The online auction continues through September 1st.
Members heard and participated with a lot of great content:
Our panel discussion with grassroots access advocates Andy & Abby Thomas from Madison County, Montana taught members how to take a small access issue with 4-5 supporters and turn it into a successful phenomenon with state-wide media attention.
Access Updates from Public Access Investigator Haley Sir highlighted new programs and increasing state-wide presence.
President’s address from Bernard Lea and Executive Director Drewry Hanes provided updates on where we have been and where we are going as an organization.
We have Board of Directors seats in open voting presently.
This years PLWA Awards winners Jen Adams and Carolyn Fox were announced!

MEETING RECORDING INFORMATION
PLWA 2022 ANNUAL MEETING AUCTION
PLWA’s online auction started August 18th at 6:30 PM MST and ended on September 1st at 8:00 PM MST.
Auction items were donated by generous members to the organization and in the spirit of protecting access. All funds generated from sales will go towards the mission of PLWA: to maintain, restore, and perpetuate public access to the boundaries of all Montana’s public lands and waters.

PLWA ACCESS & OFFICER ELECTIONS
Please welcome to the PLWA Board of Directors Matt Lussier (election to 2 year term after 1 year appointment) and Amelia Flannery (election to 3 year term!).
PLWA is working on access issues in over 20 counties across the state! Our organization and its supporters, along with Partner Organizations and passionate activists rise daily to the challenge to preserve access.
If you would like to be a part of this movement, join PLWA today. Members vote in elections and help protect Montana’s access heritage. If you would like to learn about leadership, visit our About Us page below. We are still seeking 2 Board of Directors to appoint to 1 year terms for 2022-2023.
